Diving is knowledge of the water below the surface, protection of the environment, knowledge of oneself in an extraordinary context … a unique experience in time and space!
Among the water activities proposed, diving is certainly the most fascinating. Diving in apnea or with tanks is an experience that allows us to get to know the wonderful world of the sea in a completely different way. For over 20 years as SOGESE we have been dealing with diving both nationally through the Underwater Federation Cmas Diving Center Italia and locally through our underwater club Punto Blu Subacquea.
In addition, thanks to CULTURA SOMMERSA, the design area that supports the dialogue between diving, environment and culture, we offer cultural and educational initiatives aimed at divers and all sea lovers.

Our underwater experiences
Our diving activity also takes place nationally and internationally. Since 1999 we have been one of the Federation of C.M.A.S., the World Confederation of Underwater Activities, the prestigious institution that represents one of the main diving teaching agencies in the world

UNDERWATER SWIMMING PROGRAM
The Underwater Swimming program is aimed at students of the High Schools of Bologna. Born over 10 years ago, it has involved over 1,000 students.
The goal is to raise students’ awareness of self-knowledge, by having a unique and extraordinary practical experience.
The program includes lessons in the water and classroom lessons in which students deepen the scientific subjects of their study courses, linking them directly to the diving discipline. Through this program SOGESE intends to support the relationships between school and sport and wants to make its contribution to the dissemination of the educational values of sporting disciplines.
DIVE INTO ART
Dive into Art is the Submerged Culture initiative that aims to bring artistic expressiveness into sports facilities to create a dialogue between art, sport and urban spaces. A cultural experience that also wants to be an invitation to welcome art and its expressive languages unconditionally.
“SEVEN SEAS”
Sette Mari is the underwater photography exhibition of Isabella Maffei, one of the most interesting names on the international panorama of underwater photography. It was previewed in 2019 at the S. Giovanni in Persiceto swimming pool. In November of the same year it was set up at the Carmen Longo 25m pool of the Stadium, a historic swimming pool in the Bologna area.
This exhibition intended to have the artistic aim of reconnecting the Seven Seas of the world to the urban space that is home to the city’s sea par excellence: the swimming pool. The exhibition event set up underwater could be visited both by snorkelling and by using the cylinders and self-contained breathing apparatus.
